Before proceeding to the reading of the technical specifications, we inform you that our advice is not to remove the catalytic converter at all.
This model named HKSL can also be installed in cars with very short exhausts or manifolds such as: PORSCHE-FERRARI-LOTUS-etc. In such cars the lambda sensors are very close to the engine. Therefore the exit of the exhaust gases is much hotter and much faster than in a car with a long exhaust or manifold, Or at least in a car with a front engine and the exhaust running the full length of it before reaching the exit. In that configuration the lambda probes are much further from the engine than in the above versions. Then there are other cases such as cars with aspirated or turbocharged engines, which either due to exaggerated preparation, or due to ” lean” carburetion are in the same condition of high temperature or high exhaust gas velocity. Such condition also difficult to bear for lambda probes ( in many cases of failed lambda the temperature played an important role). The HKSL is capable of withstanding temperatures close to 1150 degrees.
