Flywheel Racing
The Bonalume aluminum flywheel for Punto GT, thanks in part to the material with which it is designed and manufactured, has a weight reduced by 45 percent compared to the stock original, and the external inertial mass is reduced by 60 percent, with a steel clutch raceway and work. The fastening of the track has no holes on the front face that can reduce the disc bearing surface, nor create heat points on the surfaces bordering the subplane of the screws or create significant vibrations in the presence of sintered clutches. Fastening of the track is provided by 6 screws threaded into the steel track itself. Anti-rotation is provided by three chrome steel pins inserted between the aluminum part and the steel part (not visible from the outside), phase mark shown as in the original standard. Balancing together with the starter sprocket and clutch pressure plate is recommended, although theory recommends doing everything together with the crankshaft.
