Study, design and testing. The automobile has now left behind more than a century of technical evolution; however, the technical solutions realized in this field have experienced the greatest development from the postwar period to the present day.

In this ascent to technical and technological perfection many have lost their way but some … have been able to treasure their experience.

It is the vehicle that gave man freedom of movement. Already, the automobile has been transformed from a simple carriage into a particularly sophisticated means of locomotion over the past hundred years; those in the industry in the old days knew how to work on the cars with great ease and, above all, knew their innermost secrets. Then things got complicated. Electronics arrived, new production methods were developed, innovative materials were discovered, and the criteria for working on the individual components of a car were transformed, sometimes dramatically. Computers have made available computing capabilities once unthinkable.

Today the automobile is for everyone, but not everyone knows what actually goes into this complex product. This, in fact, has led to a natural selection in the world of operators gravitating around the automotive world; today, unfortunately, to be able to work on a car is no longer enough intuition and good manual dexterity. Today it takes knowledge, the desire to keep up to date, and the pleasure of discovering the new features offered by modern technologies.

The preparers of today are not what they were then, and certainly the rule that “those who were mechanics then can now be preparers” does not apply. The cause, or the good of it all (depending on which point of view one looks at the problem), is attributable solely to the complexity achieved by modern cars. The philosophy, with which a tuner today approaches modification work, must be perfectly integrated with that of the manufacturers; cars, while resting on fundamentally unchanged basic principles, have reached such a level of complexity that a tuner must base his professionalism on such elements as innovation, research capabilities, and the ability to ensure proper service and high quality of his products.

These items are the foundation of our business. Having great potential at our disposal and, thanks to state-of-the-art instrumentation, inventiveness and know-how, gained over dozens of years of experience, we have established ourselves in the automotive market with great determination.

The figure of the preparer is often underestimated or, as happens in some cases, misunderstood. A word synonymous with preparer is “elaborator,” and never, as in this case, does the word gather within it a meaning of particular importance: the preparer is the one who elaborates a concept, he is the person who is able to evaluate in detail what the designer has done and, consequently, the spaces that the same has left for further improvements.
In essence, the preparation of an engine (because this is our specialty ) is a witty operation by which the technician discovers the improvable aspects of an engine: lightening, changing the geometries of certain components, replacing certain subsystems, using more suitable materials and, in some cases, completely redesigning the system. And in this regard it is worth noting a second crucial aspect; the preparer, by his or her actions, improves what the designer has deliberately and consciously left at a mediocre level; this fact is due to a variety of reasons. A large series car is composed of mechanical organs each of which can be built to very different levels of sophistication.
It is therefore within these complicated logics that the true preparer moves. He knows where the designer has backed off and, if he sees fit, will make a change that will optimize that particular component or subsystem.

Following precisely this kind of philosophy, we have therefore approached, with the responsibility of one who knows the values in the field, the evolution of the most modern methods as far as processing is concerned. The cornerstone on which the whole company rests is the high level of know-how gained from the many activities in the field of modifications developed over years of hard work, times in which research played a key role. But that would not have been enough! We know that knowledge must and can only grow with the help of state-of-the-art instrumentation. And it is no accident that the item “investment” occupies a prominent place in the company’s budget.
